We are looking forward to another exciting Compit Conference 2025!
Our paper “Transforming Sailing Yacht and Wind-Powered Ship Performance with America’s Cup Level CFD” highlights cutting-edge computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques and workflow procedures applied to wind-powered vessels. While the focus of the illustrative applications lies on America’s Cup racing yachts, the approach and employed software can be applied easily to assess and improve the performance of any wind-assisted propulsion system, such as those suggested on commercial vessels to achieve decarbonization.
